The admit card is issued only to those candidates who successfully submit their application form before the deadline. XAT 2025 Exam Day Instructions
The XAT exam for the year 2025 will take place in multiple cities across India through an online format. The XAT exam’s official website has issued certain regulations that must be adhered to by all candidates. Below are the important guidelines for the XAT exam day:
- In case of any errors on the admit card, candidates should inform the exam-conducting body.
- Requests to change the XAT examination centre will not be considered.
- The admit card for the XAT exam is only valid for a certain period of time.
- Once the entrance gate is closed, candidates will not be permitted to enter.
- The candidacy for the XAT exam is entirely contingent. The possibility exists for the candidacy to be revoked during any part of the examination if the candidate does not meet the eligibility requirements.
- Usage of electronic devices like calculators, mobile phones, smartwatches, etc., is not allowed in the exam room.
- Candidates are required to have on hand their own 50 ml bottle of hand sanitiser, mask, and gloves.
- Candidates must have a current passport-size photo on hand in case there is any inconsistency in the image.
- Candidates must undergo the frisking process before entering the XAT exam hall. Candidates will not have access to storage facilities, so if any prohibited items are found, they will be required to leave them outside the XAT exam area.
- Candidates will have the opportunity to log into the designated computer system 10 minutes prior to the start of the exam.
- Test-takers will receive a piece of paper and a writing instrument while taking the exam.
- Following the completion of the XAT entrance test, candidates are required to hand over their rough sheet to the exam invigilator.

Key Changes in XAT Exam Pattern
The exam format for this year has undergone substantial changes to improve the evaluation of candidates’ management and leadership abilities:
- Analytical Essay Writing (AEW): The AEW section will now be incorporated into the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) phases rather than being part of the primary exam.
- Revision of the General Knowledge Section: The General Knowledge section will now consist of 20 questions, down from 25, emphasizing 12 questions on current affairs and 8 static general knowledge questions to maintain a balance between current awareness and core knowledge.
- Modified Exam Schedule: The assessment will be split into two sections: Section One will take 170 minutes and address essential topics, while Section Two will feature a 10-minute portion focused entirely on General Knowledge. The entire length of the exam is still 180 minutes.
