Another Massive Teacher Recruitment Awaits Confirms Bihar CM

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of Bihar has officially confirmed that the state is gearing up for another massive Teacher Recruitment Drive to address the shortage of teachers in government schools in Bihar. The announcement comes as a proactive measure to ensure that educational institutions are adequately staffed to provide quality education to students.

As per the announcement, the official notification for the BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2023 Phase 2 will be released in December 2023. The Bihar Government is aiming to fill out 1.50 Lakh+ teaching vacancies through the New BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2023 Phase 2.

During a recent meeting held between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Education Minister Prof. Chandrashekhar, and Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department K K Pathak, specific instructions were given to the Education Department to commence preparations for the impending teacher recruitment. It is expected that the recruitment process will commence in December, with a fresh recruitment advertisement expected to be released for more than 1.50 Lakh vacancies.

The recruitment of teachers in Bihar will be facilitated through the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), a common practice for such appointments. Sources indicate that the Chief Minister emphasized the urgency of filling all vacant teacher positions and directed the Education Department to expedite the process.

Moreover, this announcement follows a commitment made by State Education Minister Prof. Chandrashekhar on Teacher’s Day to appoint over one lakh teachers in the near future, reflecting the government’s commitment to bolstering the education sector.

In the high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence, the Education Department was tasked with addressing the teacher shortage issue in the state’s schools. The meeting also encompassed discussions on policy matters pertaining to the education sector. Furthermore, steps taken to implement previous instructions were reviewed to ensure the efficient execution of the recruitment process.

Additionally, BPSC has confirmed that the BED Qualified candidates will not be considered for the PRT Posts henceforth. BEd Qualified candidates will only be able to apply for TGT posts and DElEd Qualified candidates will only be considered for the PRT Posts.

This indicates the government’s focus on adhering to legal requirements and ensuring that teachers meet the necessary qualifications.

With this forthcoming teacher recruitment drive, the Bihar government aims to address the pressing issue of teacher shortages in government schools, ultimately striving to enhance the quality of education offered to students across the state.
