AP DSC 2024 New Exam Date Released, Check Detail

The Andhra Pradesh High Court’s recent decision has brought relief to aspiring teachers in the state as it directed the AP Government to revise the exam schedule for the Andhra Pradesh  Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and AP Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT/DSC) exams. This move comes after concerns were raised regarding the clash between the AP TET and AP DSC exam dates, leading to a much-needed postponement of the AP DSC 2024 exam.

What is the AP DSC Exam?

The AP DSC (Andhra Pradesh District Selection Committee) exam holds significant importance as it serves as a vital recruitment test conducted by the state government of Andhra Pradesh for various teaching positions in government schools across Andhra Pradesh. Notably, the AP DSC was last administered in 2018, rendering the ongoing AP DSC Recruitment 2024 particularly significant for aspiring teaching candidates.

Clash Between AP DSC & AP TET Exam Dates

One of the primary issues addressed by the Andhra Pradesh High Court was the overlapping exam dates of the AP TET and AP DSC. This clash raised concerns among aspirants who felt the need for adequate preparation time between the two exams. The court acknowledged these concerns and mandated a minimum four-week gap between the AP TET and AP DSC exams.

The High Court of Andhra Pradesh highlighted that candidates who qualify in the APTET-2024 would be issued Hall Tickets immediately upon the declaration of results on 14 March 2024. These candidates would then have to appear for the AP DSC 2024 Exam (TRT) on the same day. They will be eligible to appear in the AP DSC 2024 scheduled to be conducted from the next day, i.e., from 15 March 2024 up to 30 March 2024. Additionally, the court noted that the reasonable period for every step in both notifications had been compressed unreasonably, leading to shorter durations compared to previous years.

AP DSC 2024 New Exam Date Released

Earlier, it was notified by the AP DSC that the recruitment exam for the AP DSC was postponed by a month based on the High Court’s ruling. This decision was welcomed by teacher aspirants who had petitioned for more preparation time. As per the latest update, the AP DSC Exam 2024 for the post of SGT and SA will begin on 30 March 2024 and 13 April 2024 respectively. The AP DSC SGT Exam 2024 will be conducted in 10 sessions (2 sessions per day) from 30 March 2024 to 3 April 2024. On the other hand, the AP DSC SA Exam 2024  from 13 April 2024 to 30 April 2024 along with other exams for posts such as TGT, PGT and Principal. The English Proficiency Test will be conducted on 7 April 2024 as a preliminary test for the post of TGT, PGT and Principal.

The Candidates will be able to download the AP DSC Admit Card 2024 from 25 March 2024. It is important to note that the candidates will be given the opportunity to select and choose the exam centre through online mode on 20 March 2024.
