The  Directorate of Secondary Education Assam has released notification for the recruitment of 9,389 vacancies for the posts of Graduate Teacher (GT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) under the Assam Teacher Recruitment 2024. Interested candidates can apply between 21 October to 15 November 2024 through online mode only. As per the Assam Teacher Selection Process 2024, candidates will have to appeared for a written test, interview and document verification.

Assam Teacher Application Fees 2024

For Assam Teacher Recruitment 2024, the application fee is ₹500 for UR candidates and ₹350 for OBC, MOBC, ST, SC, PwD, and other reserved categories. Candidates must submit the applications through online mode only.

Assam Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates without complying with the Assam Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2024 will not considered for the recruitment process. Hence, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria for GT and PGT posts.

• Eligibility for GT: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in concerned subject with 50% marks and BEd Degree.
• Eligibility for PGT: Master’s Degree in concerned subject with 50% marks

Assam Teacher Selection Process 2024

Candidates will have to appear for a written test, interview and document verification as per the selection process for the Assam GT And PGT Recruitment 2024 Guidelines.

• Written Test: The first stage of the selection process is a written test with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes, consisting of a total of 140 questions, where 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Interview: Candidates who qualify in the written test will be invited for a personal interview to evaluate their suitability for the teaching position.
• Document Verification: The final step involves the verification of candidates’ academic and professional documents to ensure their eligibility before the final selection is made.
