AWES has officially released the AWES Admit Card 2024 on the official website on 12 November 2024. AWES Teacher Selection Process

The selection process for the AWES Recruitment 2024 involves submitting an taking a written exam and receiving a scorecard based on exam performance. Candidates who achieve a valid AWES APS Scorecard will be eligible to apply to their local Army Public School according to the vacancies announced on the school’s website or in local newspapers as per the AWES Selection Process 2024. Additionally, local authorities under AWES will conduct an interview and skill test.

• Online Screening Test (OST): A multiple-choice test conducted online. Candidates must clear the OST to qualify for the posts. The scorecard is valid for a lifetime.
• Regular Candidates: Need 50% (100 marks) within 2 years of appointment.
• Fixed-Term Candidates: Need 40% (80 marks) within 1 year.
• Interview: OST-qualified candidates will be interviewed. Regular posts are handled by the Central Selection Board (CSB), while fixed-term posts are by the Local Selection Board (LSB).
• Evaluation: Language teachers will take a 30-mark written test (essay and comprehension). Computer proficiency tests may also be conducted if needed.

AWES Certificate 2024

Previously, AWES OST certificates were valid for only 3 years, necessitating retakes every three years. Under the updated policy, however, OST qualifications now carry lifetime validity for those who pass, providing candidates with a scorecard that remains indefinitely valid and removing the requirement for repeated exams. Moreover, while passing the OST is no longer essential to qualify for interviews, candidates who clear the OST will still receive preference in the selection process, offering a distinct advantage to certified teachers.

AWES Teacher Salary 2024

The AWES Teacher Salary Structure for 2024 offers a pay scale of ₹9,300 to ₹34,800 for all designations, including PGT, TGT, and PRT. However, the grade pay varies by position, with PGTs receiving ₹4,800, TGTs ₹4,600, and PRTs ₹4,200. The Dearness Allowance (DA) for AWES teachers is set at 5.6%, which is 80% of the Central Government rates, while the House Rent Allowance (HRA) is 12%, amounting to 50% of the Central Government rates for all teacher designations, including PGT, TGT, and PRT.
