What is UGC NET Exam 2024?
UGC NET exam is a national-level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The exam is conducted twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor and PhD Admission in universities and colleges across India.
UGC NET Qualified Candidate List
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the UGC NET Result 2024 on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The UGC NET June 2024 was conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, spanning 83 subjects over 11 days across 21 shifts in 280 cities nationwide.
Out of 1,121,225 registered candidates, 684,224 appeared for the NET exam. According to the NTA Result Notice, 4,970 candidates qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), while 53,694 were eligible for Assistant Professor positions only, and 112,070 qualified solely for Ph.D. programs. Among the 170,734 candidates who passed the UGC NET, 4,970 secured the JRF, 53,694 qualified for Assistant Professor roles, and 112,070 were eligible for Ph.D. programs.
