CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria

The CSIR NET eligibility criteria require candidates to have a Master’s degree in a relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions.   • An additional relaxation of up to 5 years is provided for research experience, armed forces service, or other relevant conditions.
• Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for the Assistant Professor category in CSIR NET.
• Admission to Ph.D.: There is no upper age limit for applying to PhD programs through the CSIR NET exam.
