The CTET and HTET Eligibility Criteria for PRT (Level I) are mostly similar. The only difference between CTET and HTET Eligibility Criteria for PRT (Level I) is that candidates must Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects for HTET Exam 2022.

CTET Vs HTET Syllabus
There are some major differences between the CTET & HTET Syllabus. The main difference between CTET and HTET syllabi is that HTET Syllabus includes subjects like Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning, and Haryana General Knowledge, whereas, these subjects are not included in CTET Exam 2022. Other than that, CTET and HTET Syllabus for Level I (PRT) are similar. However, for Level II (TGT), the difference between CTET and HTET Syllabus is much bigger. For CTET candidates, there are only two options to choose between i.e., candidates with a science background have to choose Math/Science and Humanities backgrounds would go with Social Studies. Whereas, HTET candidates can choose between various subjects based on the main subject in their Graduation such as Science, Hindi, English, Social Studies, Maths, Sanskrit, Punjabi and so on.

Candidates above the age of 17 years can apply for the CTET Exam 2022. On the other hand, for HTET Exam 2022 candidates must be above 18 years of age. However, there is no upper age limit for both CTET and HTET exams.

As per the latest notification released by the Haryana Government, CTET is no longer valid in Haryana. However, CTET is still valid in other states of India.
