DHSGU PhD Admission Process 2024 for both candidate i.e. qualifed NET or non qualified candidate will be held separately. Applicants who have successfully qualified in national-level tests such as UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR NET/JRF, GATE, CEED, and similar examinations will be granted an exemption from the DHSGU PhD Admission 2024 Entrance Test. Interview

An interview/viva-voce will be conducted for candidates who successfully qualify in the Entrance Test and for those exempted from it. This session will take place in the respective department, and candidates are required to present their research interest/area to the Departmental Research Committee (DRC).For candidates qualifying the Entrance Test, the interview will carry a weightage of 30 marks. For candidates exempted from the Entrance Test, the interview will be worth 100 marks. During the interview/viva-voce, the Departmental Research Committee (DRC) will assess the following aspects:

• The candidate’s competence for the proposed research.
• The suitability of the research work to be undertaken in the department.
• The potential contribution of the proposed research area to new/additional knowledge.

Merit list

A merit list of candidates demonstrating research competence will be formulated based on the marks obtained in the interview/viva-voce. Candidates lacking the necessary research competence will not be considered for inclusion in the merit list.

• (a) For candidates required to undergo the Entrance Test: The merit list will be prepared by combining marks from the Entrance Test (70 marks) and the Interview (30 marks), totaling 100 marks.
• (b) Candidates exempted from the Entrance Test will have their merit determined solely based on the 100 marks obtained in the interview.
• (c) Subsequently, a final combined merit list for admission to the Ph.D. Programme 2024 will be compiled, considering the 100 marks from both categories (a) and (b).
