G20 Summit 2023 is a Group of Twenty (G20) that form a premier forum including 19 countries and the European Union. G20 plays an important role in international economic cooperation as it together represents most of the world economy. The G20 Summit 2023 is the 18th edition where world leaders will come together to discuss major economic challenges persisting around the globe.
G20 Summit in Delhi
The city of New Delhi is fully prepared to receive delegates for the upcoming G20 Summit scheduled for September 9-10. The central focal point of this grand occasion, Pragati Maidan’s Bharat Mandapam, has been adorned with vibrant lighting, lush greenery, blossoming flowers, and various festive decorations.
G20 Summit 2023
The Final G20 Summit Meeting scheduled to be held in Delhi from 8 September to 10 September 2023, is set to address a comprehensive array of global challenges. The G20 India has outlined six crucial agenda priorities for the 2023 G20 dialogue, each of which holds immense significance for the international community. These priorities encompass Green Development, Climate Finance & LiFE, Accelerated, Inclusive and Resilient Growth, Accelerating progress on SDGs, Technological Transformation and digital Public Infrastructure, Multilateral Institutions for the 21st century, and Women-led development.
One particularly significant proposal on the table is the potential inclusion of the African Union in the G20, coupled with granting it voting rights. This proposal has garnered support from G20 nations, yet its final decision remains pending. Notably, the prospective addition of the African Union marks a pivotal agenda point for the Delhi G20 Summit, reflecting the Summit’s commitment to fostering global collaboration and inclusivity in addressing pressing global issues.
G20 Summit Location
The G20 Summit 2023 is being hosted in India as India over the presidency of G20 Summit 2023 from Indonesia on 1st December 2022. The G20 Summit 2023 will be conducted across 50 cities in India where more than 200 events have been organised for the G20 Summit 2023 members. The idea is to walk the G20 Summit 2023 members through the rich and vibrant culture, tradition and customs of India. The guest members will be able to enjoy the fine delicacy of Indian cuisine along with the diversity of languages and cultural heritages that binds India together in every sense.
G20 Summit 2023 Date
The forthcoming G-20 Summit is scheduled to convene at Bharat Mandapam, situated within the prestigious precincts of Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, spanning the dates of 9th September and 10th September 2023. It is noteworthy that, alongside their participation in the summit’s deliberations, the esteemed delegates will embark on visits to hallowed sites of historical and cultural significance, including the venerable Rajghat, the renowned National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), and the illustrious Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) at Pusa.

The theme for G20 Summit 2023 is “One Earth, One Family, One Future”. As India is hosting the G20 Summit 2023, India will set the agendas for the G20 Summit 2023 meetings and bring together the other G20 Summit 2023 members to address global economic issues and challenges.

G20 Summit India Locations
The G20 Summit, a gathering of leaders from the world’s major economies, is scheduled to be held at different locations in India throughout the year as India is the host country for the G20 Summit. The choice of location for the G20 summit in India is typically based on a combination of factors such as diplomatic considerations, and the desire to promote global cooperation and understanding.
The G20 Summit will take place in prominent cities known for their economic significance, political influence, and capacity to host such high-profile events. The selected location provides a platform for leaders to engage in discussions, negotiations, and collaborative efforts on pressing global issues, aiming to shape policies that can address shared challenges and foster sustainable growth on a global scale.
G20 Summit 2023 Delhi Restrictions
Restrictions have been imposed on online delivery services, excluding medicines, in the vicinity of the G20 Summit venue and designated delegate hotels in New Delhi from 5 am on Friday to 11:59 pm on Sunday. New Delhi has been designated as Controlled Zone-I for the summit, with limited vehicle movement, but ambulances, locals, and tourists with proper identification can travel. Delhi Metro will start services at 4 am on 8, 9, and 10 September .
Over 50,000 security personnel, including dog squads and mounted police, are deployed for summit security. Delhi Traffic Police has outlined restrictions on goods vehicles, buses, auto-rickshaws, and taxis, urging the use of the metro. ‘Mapmyindia’ navigation app is recommended, and essential services will continue during the summit. Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) S S Yadav requested people to avoid visiting India Gate and Kartavya Path for leisure activities during the summit.
