GSET Exam Analysis 2024
The Gujarat State Eligibility Test is scheduled to assess the candidates’ eligibility to be appointed as Assistant Professor in Gujarat. The exam is conducted in 2 parts: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I assess the candidates’ teaching aptitude with the basic syllabus in general topics. GSET Exam Schedule 2024
The exam will be held on 1st December 2024 in a single shift at 11 different centres. The Gujarat SET is conducted in 2 parts continuously for 3 hours. Paper I is timed to take place for 1 hour from 09:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Then subsequently Paper II will be conducted for 2 hours from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

GSET Exam Pattern 2024
The GSET exam pattern is planned to follow a two-session structure: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I assess the candidates’ teaching aptitude by testing reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. This Paper asks 50 questions each with 2 marks. On the other hand, Paper II is subject-specific and the candidate chooses from 33 subjects from the GSET Subject List 2024 with 100 questions, each with 2 marks.

GSET Qualifying Marks 2024
Gujarat SET is a state-level exam that will slightly be more challenging than usual exams as the exam needs the candidates’ expertise in research aptitude. The candidates must be aware of the minimum marks needed to candidates to qualify despite the cut off which would be released after the exams. All the General category candidates (Unreserved/EWS) need at least 40% aggregated marks to qualify, whereas candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC/PwD/ Third gender) need 35% aggregated marks to qualify for the exam.
