First of all, students cannot join B.Ed courses immediately after class 12th.   • Class 12th Pass or equivalent with at least 60% score.
  • Graduation (B.Sc., B.Com, B.A) from any recognized University with a minimum 50% score.
  • Master’s Degree in Science/Social Sciences/Humanity/Commerce with a minimum 50% marks will be eligible.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Mathematics and Science with at least 55% marks or any equivalent qualification will also be eligible.

B.Ed Age limit

The students who wish to apply for B.Ed courses start applying from the age of 19. The candidates below the age of 19 years are not eligible to apply for B.Ed Courses.

Candidates who possessed “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for becoming Teachers for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates have to mandatory undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.

Post-Graduation candidate with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.OR

graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/B.Ed. (Special Education).OR

graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).OR

any candidate having a qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET.

OR

Post-Graduation candidate with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
