HPSC PGT Eligibility Criteria 2024 [Post wise]

The HPSC PGT Eligibility Criteria for 2024 include the following requirements: candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. Additionally, they should possess a B.Ed. degree or its equivalent. Age limits typically fall between 18 to 42 years, though age relaxations apply to certain categories. A valid Haryana State Eligibility Test (HSET) or equivalent may be required. HPSC PGT Eligibility Criteria:

Recently, HPSC also made some changes in the HPSC PGT Eligibility Criteria. A detailed notification regarding HPSC PGT Post has been attached in the below article. A total of 3863 vacancies have been released for Haryana PGT (the Rest of Haryana Cadre) and 613 vacancies have been released for Mewat Cadre. Selected candidates will get in a pay scale between Rs. 47,600 to Rs 1,51,100 as per pay-matrix level 8.

HPSC PGT Eligibility Criteria Subject Wise

HPSC PGT Essential Qualifications:

HPSC PGT Commerce

(i)M.Com. with accounting/Cost accounting/ Financial accounting as a major subject of study with atleast 50% marks and B.Ed from recognized university. Holders of degree of M.Com. in Applied/ Business Economics shall not be eligible;
(ii)Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
(iii)Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
(iv)Consistent good academic record.

HPSC PGT Computer Science:-

(i)(M.Sc. Computer Science (Regular two year course)/MCA (Regular three year course)/BE/B.Tech. Computer Science/Computer Engg. /IT (Regular course) with 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university;
(ii)Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
(iii)Certificate of having qualified Haryana teachers Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
(iv)Consistent good academic record

HPSC PGT Fine Arts:-

(i)M.A. Fine Arts with atleast 50% marks and B.Ed from recognised university;
(ii)Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
(iii)Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
(iv)Consistent good academic record.

HPSC PGT History:-

(i)M.A. History with atleast 50% marks and B.Ed from recognised university; And
(ii)Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject; and
(iii)Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
(iv)Consistent good academic record.

HPSC PGT Mathematics:-

(i)M.A./M.Sc. Mathematics/Applied Mathematics with Mathematics as one of the subject at Graduation level with atleast 50% marks and B.Ed from recognised university;
(ii)Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
(iii)Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
(iv)Consistent good academic record.

HPSC PGT Music:-

(i)M.A. Music with atleast 50% marks and B.Ed from recognised university;
(ii)Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
(iii)Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
(iv)Consistent good academic record.

HPSC PGT Physical Education:-

(i)M.A. Physical Education or M.P.Ed. with atleast 50% marks and Bachelors of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) or its equivalent from recognised university;
(ii)Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
(iii)Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
(iv)Consistent good academic record.

HPSC PGT Political Science :-

(i)M.A. Political Science or Public Administration with atleast 50% marks and B.Ed. from a recognized university;” and.
(ii)Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject And;
(iii)Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
(iv)Consistent good academic record.

HPSC PGT Physics :-

(i)M.Sc. Physics/Applied Physics/Nuclear Physics/Electronics Science/Electronics with at least 50% marks and B.ED. from a recognized university and
(ii)Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject; And;
(iii)Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
(iv)Consistent good academic record.

HPSC PGT Eligibility Criteria – Age Limit

The minimum age to apply for the HPSC PGT positions is 18 years, while the maximum age is 42 years. Teachers currently employed in privately managed government-aided schools, recognized schools, and government schools are eligible for age relaxation. They may receive an upper age limit extension equal to the length of their teaching service, up to a maximum of 5 years. For detailed age relaxation criteria, please refer to the table below.
