1st July: National Doctor’s day
The first day of July is observed as National Doctor’s Day. The day has been declared the National Doctor’s Day after the birth anniversary of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy to honour his contribution to the country. He was born on 1st July 1882 and died on the same date in 1962. He was a physicist, an educationist, Politician, social worker and freedom fighter. He was the 2nd Chief Minister of West Bengal for 14 years.

26th July: Kargil Vijay Diwas
On 26th July Indian Army emerged victorious against Pakistan in a war fought in Kargil, Jammu & Kashmir. The Kargil War continued from May to July 2022. On this day, after an intense 2-month war, India gains full control of the Indian Territory taking control by false means by Pakistan. To commemorate the victory is day is celebrated in India as Vijay Diwas.
