Is CTET Certificate Still Valid in Haryana Teacher Recruitment 2022?

The Haryana Government School Education Department has announced through a notification released on 19th September 2022 that the CTET Certificate will no longer be valid for the Haryana Teacher Recruitment 2022. The State Government has come to the decision after much consideration in favour of the HTET Qualified candidates. Now, the candidates will have to have an HTET Certificate to apply for the post of PRT and TGT released by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission in the upcoming days.

CTET Vs HTET

In the notification, School Education Department states that the order issued on 6th September 2021 has been withdrawn with immediate effect. The order stated that the CTET Certificate will be considered equivalent to the HTET Certificate for Teacher Recruitment in Haryana. However, within a year of releasing the order, the Haryana Government has withdrawn the decision.

HTET Notification 2022

Since the news of HSSC Teacher Recruitment 2022 has been doing the rounds, the aspiring candidates have been raising concerns about the decision of the CTET Certificate being equivalent to the HTET Certificate. They argued that it would deprive the HTET Qualified candidates of a fair chance of recruitment as the Syllabus and Exam Pattern of CTET and HTET is considerably different. Though CTET and HTET are both eligibility tests for teaching aspirants their difficulty levels are different.

The Government of Haryana has considered all such points and come up with the decision to withdraw their earlier order in favour of the HTET Qualified candidates. Earlier, CTET Qualified candidates who are also residents of Haryana were eligible to apply for the Haryana Teacher Recruitment.
