JKSET Eligibility Criteria 2024
The candidates must go through the JKSET Eligibility Criteria to ensure they are eligible for the JKSET Exam 2024.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum score:
- General Category: 55% marks (without rounding off)
- SC/ST/PwD/Transgender Category: 50% marks (without rounding off) for Sciences, Humanities (including languages), and Social Sciences.
- Ph.D. holders who completed their Master’s degree by September 19th, 1991, get a 5% relaxation in marks (50% instead of 55%).
Appearing for Master’s Degree:
- Candidates who have appeared for their Master’s degree exams (results awaited) or whose exams are delayed can apply provisionally.
- However, they must pass their Master’s degree with the required minimum marks within two years of the SET result to be eligible for Assistant Professor.
Subject Choice:
- Candidates can only appear in the subject of their postgraduate degree.
