KARTET 2024 Exam Date

KARTET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates must read the Eligibility Criteria for the KARTET to ensure they are eligible for the exam. The eligibility criteria for Paper I and Paper II is different hence the candidates must go through the eligibility criteria carefully.

• Eligibility for Paper I (class 1 to 5): PUC/ Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in the final year of 2-year DElEd (by whatever name known)/ 4th year BElEd/ 2-year DEd (Special Education) OR BA/ BSc with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in Final-year of 2-year DEd.
• Eligibility for Paper II (class 6 to 8): BA/ BSc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year DElEd / 2-year BEd/ 4-year BElEd/ Final-year BEd (Special Education)/ PUC / Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in the final year of 4-year BAEd/ BScEd.
• Domicile: There is no domicile requirement for appearing in KARTET. However, priority for teaching positions in Karnataka government schools will be given to candidates with Karnataka domicile.

KARTET 2024 Exam Pattern

KAR TET Minimum Qualifying Marks

In Karnataka TET 2024, candidates must meet specific minimum qualifying marks to pass the exam. For the General category, the qualifying percentage is 60%, requiring candidates to attain at least 90 marks out of 150. Meanwhile, for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWD category, the qualifying percentage is slightly lower at 55%, with a corresponding minimum score of 82.5 out of 150 marks
