Kerala TET Teacher Salary Level

Kerala TET Category I is to teach Lower Primary Classes, Category II to teach Upper Primary Classes, Category III to teach High School Classes and Category IV to teach Language – Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu (up to Upper Primary classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Crafts) and Physical Education Teachers. Kerala TET Teacher Salary 2024 will be divided at 4 levels. These level will define teachers categories to teach in classes. Kerala TET Salary & Allowance

Dearness Allowance (DA)

Dearness Allowance will be given to candidate based on their jobs category and basic pay. Candidate will get 50 % DA in their in hand salary which will be approved by Kerala Government. The new formula for calculation of DA is as follows:

% of DA = {(Average AICPI for past 12 months – 306.1)}/ 306.1 x 100

House rent Allowance

House Rent Allowance for KTET Teacher will be given 10 % of their salary based on their city. Candidate will be provided amount Rs. 2350 for Class A cities. KTET  House Rent Allowance will be divided in 4 class. Candidate will get HR Allowance on the level of city class which has been given below :

1. Class A: The Corporation limits of the cities of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur. In addition, Forest Complex, Mathottam, Kozhikode and Government Institutions situated within a radius of 3 kilometres from Civil Station, Kakkanad.
2. Class B: The Municipalities at District Headquarters.
3. Class C: All Municipalities other than those at District Headquarters.
4. Class D: All Panchayaths

Travelling Allowance

KTET Salary includes travelling allowance based on their travel mode and city. Employee will get Travel Allowance with their pay scale of class category. Kerala TET Teacher will get travelling allowance for Lower Primary and Upper primary Rs. 500 in Kerala State and Rs. 650 for Out side State Job posting.

Spectacle Allowance

KTET Salary also include Spectacle allowance i.e. Amount of Rs. 1500 will be given once in five years as reimbursement of the cost incurred for the purchase of spectacles. Employee will get this allowance after completing 5 yrs in job profile.

Hill Tract Allowance

Kerala TET Salary include Hill Trace Allowance rate as per their pay scale. The rate of Hill Tract Allowance will be given in various ranges which as been given below :

Other Allowances

KTET Salary 2024 include other Allowances which includes Special Allowances, Compensatory Allowance, Risk Allowance, Non-practising Allowance, Additional Special Allowances, Permanent Travelling Allowance, and Permanent Conveyance Allowance. All the candidate will get their allowance rate as per their post pay scale.
