KVS PRT Application Window Reopened for Document Updation

KVS has decided to give KVS Aspirants a second chance to remain in the race for the KVS Teaching Job. As KVS has made perfectly clear that they are going to abide by the Supreme Court Ruling against the BEd-qualified candidates’ eligibility for the PRT posts, many candidates started claiming that they have both a BEd degree and DElEd diploma but they opted for the KVS PRT Recruitment 2023 with their BEd Degrees.

KVS has taken a thoughtful approach and opted to reopen the KVS PRT Application Form 2023 for eligible candidates. This decision enables applicants who hold both a BEd degree and a DElEd diploma to submit their DElEd Diploma documents. Candidates will have the opportunity to upload their DElEd Diploma documents between September 13 (9:00 AM) and September 17, 2023.

KVS has considered this aspect carefully and decided to reopen the KVS PRT Application Form 2023 for the candidates. With this step, KVS has allowed the candidates claiming to have both a BEd degree and a DElEd diploma to upload their DElEd Diploma. The candidates will be able to upload the adequate document of the DElEd Diploma from 13 September to 17 September 2023.

KVS Abiding By SC Verdict

In the official notification released by KVS stating the reopening of the KVS PRT Application Window 2023, KVS has referred to KVS Advt No. 16/2022 which clearly stated that the B.Ed candidates could also apply and go through the KVS PRT selection process but their inclusion in the KVS PRT merit list for KVS PRT interview will be subject to the outcome verdict given by the Supreme Court on the same matter.

Supreme Court Verdict on BEd vs. BTC

The Supreme Court of India gave the verdict on 11 August 2023 stating that the BEd Qualified candidates will no longer be eligible for the Primary Teacher post. Based on the SC Verdict, KVS has aligned KVS PRT Eligibility Criteria 2023 and decided to exclude BEd Degree Holders from the KVS PRT Recruitment Process 2023.

As KVS is moving ahead with the new KVS PRT Eligibility Criteria 2023 BEd Degree Holders will be excluded and taken steps accordingly, It is expected that the KVS PRT Result 2023 which has been kept on hold for months will be released soon. Therefore, it is crucial for the candidates who have applied for KVS Recruitment 2023 based on their BEd degree to upload their DElEd Diploma (if they posses both of them) and still stand a chance while KVS PRT Result 2023 is being released.
