NSU Faculty Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility Criteria for NSU faculty has been mentioned below. Candidate must check the NSU Faculty i.e. Associate Professor and Assistant Professor Eligibility Criteria before applying for National Sanskrit University Assistant Professor Recruitment 2023.

For Assistant Professor

• A Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% in case of candidates with Ph.D.) in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• The candidate should have cleared the CSIR/National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Eligibility Test (SET) or equivalent examination conducted by any of the agencies approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Relaxation of 5% to 10% in the qualifying marks is permissible for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates.
• A Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject is desirable.

For Associate Professor

• A Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
• A minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry.
• Experience in guiding research scholars towards M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees is desirable.
