OTET Exam Pattern 2024

OTET exam is conducted in written mode for Paper-I and Paper-II only. Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha conducts the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) to select candidates for the appointment of teacher for Classes I to VIII in government, private aided, and private unaided schools in Odisha. The details of the OTET 2024 exam pattern are given below.

OTET 2024 exam was conducted in two shifts for – Paper I and Paper II
Exam Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Total Questions: 150 multiple-choice questions
Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer.
No marks will be deducted for any wrong response
In both papers, the Language-II subject will be English for all candidates.
For each subject area, 20 questions will be from contents and 10 questions from Pedagogy.

OTET Previous Year Question Papers Qualifying Marks

A candidate who scores 60% or more in the TET Examination will be considered a TET pass.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC/ OBC, and Physically Handicapped securing scores of 50 % may be considered as TET pass.
The TET score will be given weightage in the recruitment process.
