What is the Full Form of PGT?
The PGT Full Form is Post Graduate Teacher. Teaching aspirants who have completed their post-graduate degree in a relevant subject from any nationally recognized university in India are referred to as PGTs. To become eligible to apply for PGT posts, these candidates must also complete a 2-year B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree course.

Is CTET Mandatory for PGT?
No, CTET is not mandatory for the PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) post. The Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) is specifically conducted for PRTs (Primary Teachers) and TGTs (Trained Graduate Teachers). Unlike TGTs and PRTs, candidates who have completed their post-graduate degree do not need to appear for the CTET Exam to become eligible for recruitment exams for the PGT post. However, candidates must complete a B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) course as part of the mandatory eligibility criteria.
