The Board of School Education Rajasthan (BSER) is about to conduct the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) 2025. The REET exam is a state-level exam being conducted to assess the eligibility of the aspirants to be appointed as teachers in the Government Schools of Rajasthan. The exam is conducted separately for Level-1 (Primary Stage) teachers and Level-2 (Elementary Stage) teachers.

Is there a negative marking in REET 2025?
Formerly, BSER conducting the REET 2025 exams have never incorporated the negative markings. But still, the candidates are getting doubts over the implementation of a negative marking system. So, is BSER actually implementing the negative marking schemes in the REET 2025 exams? The answer is Yes!! However, there is a condition for this marking schema being used.
The BSER has introduced a change in the REET exam pattern, in which candidates will now have 5 options to select from the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), and, if a candidate fails to select any of the options, leaving the question unanswered, then there will be a deduction of 1/3 mark form the total marks.
REET 2025 Introduces Negative Marking
Guess what? REET 2025 is bringing a big change! This time, BSER has added a 5th option in MCQs. Sounds good, right? But here’s the catch, if you intentionally or unintentionally leave a question unanswered, a 1/3 mark will be deducted for that question. Marking Scheme in REET 2025
With the introduction of the 5th option in MCQs, the marking scheme in REET 2025 has also been updated. Candidates will still earn 1 mark for each correct answer, but now there’s a twist, leaving a question unanswered will result in a 1/3 mark deduction. This means smart answering is more important than ever! To avoid losing marks, aspirants must carefully evaluate their choices and attempt as many questions as possible.
