RRB TGT Teacher Age Limit
In this section, we will provide the detailed RRB TGT Teacher Age Limit, including the upper and lower date of birth limits for various categories, ensuring candidates can assess their RRB TGT Teacher eligibility criteria based on age requirements.
- Upper Date of Birth Limit for UR & EWS: Candidates belonging to the Unreserved (UR) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories must have their date of birth on or after 02/01/1977 to meet the eligibility criteria for RRB TGT Teacher posts.
- Upper Date of Birth Limit for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): For candidates from the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category, the upper date of birth limit is set as 02/01/1974. Only candidates born on or after this date will be considered eligible.
- Upper Date of Birth Limit for SC/ST: The upper age limit for candidates from the SC/ST category is 02/01/1972. Those born on or after this date are eligible to apply for the RRB TGT Teacher positions.
- Lower Date of Birth Limit for All Categories: The lower date of birth limit for candidates of all categories is 01/01/2007, meaning all applicants must have been born on or before this date to be eligible for the recruitment process.
RRB TGT Teacher Age Relaxation
Age relaxation is provided for candidates from specific categories to promote equal opportunities for all. SC/ST candidates are eligible for up to 5 years of relaxation, while OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates can avail of a relaxation of up to 3 years. PwBD candidates benefit from substantial age relaxation, with 10 years for UR & EWS, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST. Ex-servicemen also receive age relaxation based on their length of service, extending up to 8 years for SC/ST and 6 years for OBC candidates. For example, an SC candidate aged 45 or an OBC candidate aged 38 can still qualify under the relaxation rules.
