Sikkim TET Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Sikkim TET Primary Teacher and Graduate Teacher has been given below.

  • Primary Teacher Class – Class I- V
  • Graduate Teacher Class – Class VI- VIII
  • Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India

Sikkim TET Primary Teacher for Classes I-V

Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45% marks for SC, ST, OBC (Central), and OBC (State) candidates. In addition, they should have successfully completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), or a Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Sikkim TET Graduate Teacher for Classes VI-VIII

  • Candidates should possess a B.A. or B.Sc. degree with a minimum of 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45% marks for SC, ST, OBC (Central), and OBC (State) candidates. Additionally, candidates must have completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) program.

OR

  • Candidates should have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45% marks for SC, ST, OBC (Central), and OBC (State) candidates. Additionally, candidates must have successfully passed a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed, or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed program.

For Special Education: Candidate who have possesses Diploma/Degree course in Teacher Education recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B. Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

Sikkim TET Eligibility Age Limit 2023

There is no age limit required for the Sikkim TET examination. You can attempt a number of times as you want to improve your Sikkim TET score.

  • Candidates should be citizens of India
  • There is no age restriction to apply for the Sikkim TET exam

Sikkim TET Eligibility 2023 For Reserved Category

There is no provision for seat reservations for reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC and PwD candidates)candidates. However, they are granted a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying exam of the Sikkim TET Exam.

Sikkim TET Reservation Criteria

For the General category, Candidates who score 60% marks in the examination will be considered qualified. A good thing for all the appearing candidates is that there is no negative marking for a wrong attempted question.
