There are four stages of the TN TRB Assistant Professor selection process. The candidates must go through and succeed in all the stages to achieve the appointment letter for the post of TN TRB Assistant Professor 2024. TN TRB Assistant Professor Written Test

The TN TRB Assistant Professor Exam Pattern for 2024 comprises two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I consists of two sections, IA and IB. Section IA is multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and includes subjects such as Tamil Language and GK & Current Affairs, with 25 questions each. Each question carries 1 mark, and the duration is 1 hour. Section IB is descriptive, focusing on the concerned subject, where candidates need to answer 5 out of 8 questions, with each question carrying 10 marks, and the duration is 2 hours.

Paper II also contains two sections, IIA and IIB. Section IIA is MCQs, consisting of 50 questions on the concerned subject, with each question carrying 1 mark, and the duration is 1 hour. Section IIB is descriptive, similar to Paper IIB, where candidates need to answer 5 out of 8 questions, with each question carrying 10 marks, and the duration is 2 hours. Overall, the exam comprises 110 questions worth 200 marks to be completed in a total duration of 6 hours.

In the evaluation process, the written examination carries a weightage of 200 marks, while the interview component constitutes 15% of the total marks. For the interview component, which is allocated 30 marks (Viva-voce), specific criteria are outlined for assessment. These criteria include evaluating the content presented by the candidate (9 marks), assessing the delivery, focusing on the clarity, audibility, and comprehensibility of the candidate’s presentation (9 marks), language proficiency in both English and Tamil (6 marks) and personal characteristics such as confidence and disposition (6 marks).
