TN TET Eligibility Criteria 2024

The candidates who are aspiring to appear for the upcoming TNTET Exam 2024 should go through the TN TET Eligibility 2024. (I) Minimum Qualifications for TNTET Paper-I (for classes I-V): 1. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

2. Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

Or

3. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

Or

4. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Or

5. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

6. Graduation with atleast 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,)

(II). Minimum Qualifications for TNTET Paper-II (for classes VI-VIII). 1. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Or

2. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).

Or

3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.

Or

4. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

Or

5. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.

Or

6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).

7. Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. the programme, recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET. Moreover, as per existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11.02.2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET.
