TPSC Assistant Professor Selection Process
The selection procedure for the TPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025 will be governed by Annexure-A & Annexure-B of the notified schedule for the Assistant Professor position in Government General Degree Colleges. The recruitment process consists of two successive steps:
- Screening by API Score (100 marks): This will be the initial screening stage, where candidates will be evaluated based on their Academic Performance Indicator (API) score.
- Interview/Personality Test (15 marks): Candidates selected through the API score screening will be called for the Interview/Personality Test, which will carry 15 marks (15% of the total 100 marks). The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in both stages: 85% of the API Score and 15% from the Interview. Candidates who do not attend the interview will be excluded from the final merit list.
- Category-Wise Interview Call Ratio:
- For 1 vacancy: 5 candidates will be called.
- For 2 vacancies: 8 candidates will be called.
- For 3 or more vacancies: 3 times the number of vacancies will be called.
Candidates scoring marks equal to the last selected candidate will also be eligible for the interview.
- Final Selection: The final selection will be based on merit, considering the combined total of API score and interview marks. In case of a tie in marks, the seniority in age will be used to finalize merit positions. If necessary, the waiting list will be prepared following the same criteria.
