UP LT Grade Teacher Vacancy 2022 : Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is expected to release 7471 vacancies for the post of Lecturer and Assistant Teacher (LT Grade) soon. The Directorate of Secondary Education has completed the process of collecting and collating the vacancies available in the Government Secondary Schools of Uttar Pradesh. After a long process, the Directorate of Secondary Education sent the final report to the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) recently.

Accordion to the report, there are 7471 vacancies available in the state for the post of Lecturer and Assistant Teacher (LT Grade). Among these 7471 vacancies, 2215 vacancies are for the post of Lecturer and the rest 5256 vacancies are for Assistant Teacher (LT Grade cadre). The segregation between males and females is not known yet, therefore the total number of vacancies includes both male and female posts.

There are some disputes reported and concerns have been raised for clarity on the eligibility criteria for some subjects. The dispute is the slight differences in eligibility criteria for various subjects between the Department of Secondary Education Act, 1993 and NCT Act 2001. For example, the eligibility criteria for the Hindi Subject LT Grade, the Secondary Education Act prescribes Hindi at Graduation level and Sanskrit at intermediate level mandatorily on the other hand the eligibility criteria for the same prescribed by NCT Act is mandatory Hindi and Sanskrit at graduation level.

Now, most of these disputes have been resolved, however, some of them are yet to be resolved. Therefore, proceedings are ongoing on the remaining subjects.

A total number of 19300 posts of Assistant Teacher has been sanctioned by the Directorate of Secondary Education for the male and female cadre within the state. Out of the total posts, 12294 posts are filled and only 7006 vacancies are available in the government schools of Uttar Pradesh.
