The UP Teacher Selection Process for the Teachers and Lecturer Posts in Uttar Pradesh has been revised massively after the formation of the New Education Commission. As per the latest notification released by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the UP State Education Services Commission will be responsible for conducting the recruitment process for various teaching posts such as Acharya, Lecturer, Headmaster, LT Grade, Super TET (Assitant Teacher), and so on.
Revised UP Teacher Selection Process
The UP Teacher Recruitment Process will be divided into three categories- Category 1 (Acharya & Lecturer), Category 2 (Headmaster & LT Grade Teacher) and Category 3 for Super TET (Assistant Teacher). The main purpose of the UP State Education Services Commission will be to conduct the recruitment exam and monitor the entire Uttar Pradesh recruitment process for all these teaching posts across the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The UP Teacher notification also clarifies the recruitment process for all three categories mentioned above. For Category 1, the selection process will include a written test of 100 marks followed by an interview with 30 marks. For Category 2, there will be a written test with a fixed weightage of marks as prescribed by LT Grade followed by an interview.
Category 3 which is for the Super TET (Assistant Teacher) will only have written tests including subjects such as education, reasoning and general studies. Moreover, CTET/TET-qualified candidates will be eligible to apply for the recruitment. In addition to that ¼ marks of the CTET/ TET Exam will be considered as qualifying marks and preparation of the merit list in the recruitment process.
