UTET 2024 Exam Date Out

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education will be going to conduct the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2024 on 24 October 2024. The UTET Exam 2024 will be held for to papers i.e.  Paper I and Paper II taking place on the same day. UTET Paper I will be held in Shift I from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, while Paper II will occur in Shift II from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Candidates must bring all required documents in examination center.

UTET 2024 Application Fee

The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs. 600 for either UTET-I or UTET-II and Rs. 1000 for both papers. For SC, ST, and PWD candidates, the fee is Rs. 300 for either UTET-I or UTET-II, and Rs. 500 for both papers. UTET Eligibility Criteria

  • For Paper-I (Primary Teachers): A minimum of 50% marks in Senior Secondary (Class 12) with a Teacher Eligibility Certificate (TC) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from a recognized university.
  • For Paper-II (Elementary Teachers): A minimum of 50% marks in graduation (any stream) with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree from a recognized university.

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • Candidates who possess “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible to become Teachers for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates have to mandatorily undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.
UTET Paper II 2024
  • Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

UTET 2024 Exam Pattern

All questions in UTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct as per the UTET Notification 2024. Each carries one mark and there will be no negative marking. There will be two papers on Uttarakhand TET. Read the following for more clarity on the exam pattern.

  • Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
  • A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).
