West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has announced the massive fresh job recruitment for government job aspirants in West Bengal. In a press conference held at the State Secretariate Nabanna, the Chief Minister declared that 1.25 Lakh fresh vacancies will be released in the coming months for various posts such as primary teachers, secondary school teachers, professors, policemen, doctors, nurses, Group C staff, Group D Staff and others.
This news has come as a ray of hope for the youths of West Bengal eagerly waiting for fresh recruitment for various posts. The aspirants can expect the release of the announced vacancies in the next few months to come.
The fresh 1.25 recruitment is being announced just after the verdict of the Calcutta High Court to scrap 36000 teaching appointments made under the WB Teaching Recruitment 2016-17 based on the WB TET 2014. Moreover, the announcement of the vacancies has come just before the upcoming panchayat elections.
The upcoming recruitment campaign aims to fill various positions, including the hiring of 11,000 primary school teachers, 14,500 secondary school teachers, 20,000 police officers, 12,000 Group D staff members, and 3,000 Group C staff members.
Additionally, the government intends to employ 2,000 professors and doctors each, along with 7,000 nurses and ASHA workers. Furthermore, the plan involves the recruitment of 9,493 Anganwadi workers and 13,926 Anganwadi helpers.
While making the announcement, Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee urged the opposition political parties to not politize the matter as this is going to affect the future of the youth of West Bengal adversely. However, as the TMC Chief is already engulfed in various controversies related to the malpractices involved in the 2016-17 Primary Teacher Recruitment and announcing the fresh recruitment amid the controversy might attract further condemnation against the West Bengal Government.
