The HSSC TGT Exam 2023 will be conducted from 29th April 2023 to 14h April 2023. The candidates have been wondering about the 5th option in HSSC TGT Exam 2023. In fact, there has been some confusion about the purpose of the 5th option and how to use it. Read through the article below to know in depth about the 5th option in HSSC TGT Exam 2023.
The HSSC TGT Exam 2023 is conducted on multiple days for different subjects in offline mode. The candidates will get an HSSC TGT Questionnaire and an OMR Sheet to mark the answers. As HSSC has introduced the 5th option, there will be 5 options on the OMR Sheet, although there will be only 4 options on the HSSC TGT Questionnaire.
As per the HSSC TGT Syllabus and Exam Pattern, the 4 options OMR represents the 4 options given on the HSSC TGT Questionaire. The 5th option available denotes “None of the Above” which means if candidates are not sure of the correct answer, instead of leaving a blank or unattempted the candidates must mark the 5th option.
The candidates must remember that there is no negative marking in the HSSC TGT Exam 2023. However, if the candidates leave any answer unattempted/ blank, then there will be a marks deduction of 0.95 marks. To help candidates avoid losing their precious marks, HSSC will provide extra 5 minutes i.e., 100 minutes + 5 Minutes = 105 minutes, for the candidates to mark the 5th option for all the unattempted answers at the end of the exam.
The 5th option is introduced to ensure the elimination of tampering with the answer papers of the candidates in case candidates have left any answer unattempted. Therefore, the candidates must utilise the extra 5 minutes given to them to mark the 5th option in case they thought of leaving the answer unattempted. Moreover, as there is no negative marking for any incorrect answer, then preferably candidates should take a chance and mark the answer that they think could be the right answer.
