When will the UGC NET Exam 2023 be Conducted?

As the UGC NET 2022 has come to an end, UGC NET Aspirants have started wondering about when will the next UGC NET Exam be conducted. Usually, the UGC NET Exam is conducted twice a year. The interval between the two UGC NET Exams is generally 6 months. Therefore, the next UGC NET Exam 2023 Notification is expected to be released in March 2023. The UGC NET Aspirants must start their preparation for the exam accordingly.

However, since the pandemic hit the world, the UGC NET Exam calendar has been affected massively. Since 2020, UGC NET Exams are conducted once a year as the two cycles of the same year are merged together. In the last UGC NET Exam 2022, UGC merged the UGC 2021 December and 2022 June Cycle. Therefore, the candidates must be mentally ready for another merged cycle of the UGC NET Exam 2022 December and 2023 June cycle.

UGC NET Teacher Salary

UGC Exam was earlier conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) until June 2018. Since the 2018 December Cycle, University Grant Commission (UGC) has given National Testing Agency (NTA) the responsibility to conduct the UGC NET Exam.

UGC NET New Syllabus

NTA is an autonomous agency that specializes in conducting national-level examinations in Computer Based Test (CBT). Therefore, candidates preparing for the UGC NET Exam 2023 can expect the UGC NET 2023 Notification in February 2023 as well for the UGC NET June 2023 Cycle.

UGC NET Previous Year Papers

The eligible candidates from the general category need to qualify in the UGC NET Exam 2023 by securing 40% marks in each Paper-I and Paper-II. There is a 5% relaxation in the UGC NET Cut Off Marks for the reserved categories. The candidates must check out the detailed eligibility criteria and passing criteria before preparing and applying for the UGC NET Exam 2022 to ensure they are eligible for the Exam.
