• The Preliminary Examination consists of two compulsory papers. Each paper has 100 questions of 200 marks. To qualify, candidates from the unreserved category need to score at least 33% in each paper, while candidates from reserved categories need 23%.
• The second paper is only qualifying, so its marks are not considered for the final merit list. Candidates will be selected for the Main Exam based on their performance in the first paper (General Studies). Also, one-third of the marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt
