CGPSC Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023

There are certain eligibility criteria that have to be fulfilled by the candidates in order to be eligible for the posts in the CGPSC Exam. Read below to know the criteria details:

CGPSC Age Limit

  • For State Police Services: 21 to 28 years
  • For other posts/services: 21 to 30 years

Note: Age relaxation on the upper age limit as per the Government rules is applicable.

CGPSC Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the CGPSC State Service Exam should have a Graduate degree from any recognized university or board to be eligible.

CGPSC Exam Application Process 2023

Follow the below-given process in order to apply for the CGPSC Recruitment 2023. The candidates can apply online between 1st to 20th December 2022.

Step 1 – Proceed to the CGPSC official website. The candidates can proceed to the application link for the CGPSC Exam.

Step 2 – Fill in all the details like name, email address, mobile number, email id, password, etc.

Step 3 – Login with an email address and password and fill in all the personal and educational details in the application form.

Step 4 – Upload the photograph, signature, and other relevant documents in the prescribed format.

Step 5 – Submit the form after rechecking all the information.

CGPSC Exam Selection Process 2023

The candidates applying for the CGPSC exam will have to undergo the following selection stages:

  1. Prelims exam
  2. Mains exam
  3. Interview

Candidates obtaining the minimum qualifying marks in the prelims exam will only be eligible for the CGPSC mains exam. Prelims exam is only a screening test to select candidates for the main examination. Marks obtained in prelims will not be considered at the time of finals selection. Candidate who qualify the mains examination as per the cut-off score decided by the Board for each category will be invited for the interview round. The final merit list will be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the mains exam and interview.

CGPSC Exam Pattern 2023

The CGPSC Prelims will have 2 compulsory papers of 2 hours each. The questions will be objective type multiple-choice questions. Answering wrong will result in deduction of 1/3rd marks. The two papers in the prelims exam are General Studies and Aptitude Test.

CGPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2023

Question paper in the main examination will be of conventional nature i.e. short/medium/long answer type. There are seven papers in the CGPSC main examination of 200 marks each and interview of 150 marks. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd for every wrong answer.
