On the occasion of World Homoeopathy Day, the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) under the Ministry of AYUSH will host a scientific convention in New Delhi on April 10, 2023. Scientific Convention on World Homoeopathy Day will be inaugurated by the Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar.

The 268th birth anniversary of Dr. Christian Fredrich Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homoeopathy, is commemorated as World Homoeopathy Day. On April 10, 2023, the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), which operates under the Ministry of AYUSH, will hold a scientific convention in New Delhi

  • Theme: Scientific Convention on World Homoeopathy Day 2023 would be organized with the theme of ‘Homoeoparivar- Sarvajan Swasthya, One Health, One Family’.
  • Participation: The convention will be attended by homoeopathic researchers, scientists from various fields, practitioners, students, industrialists, and representatives of homoeopathic associations.
  • Expected Outcomes: At the convention, the CCRH will sign MoUs with various homoeopathic colleges and the Directorate of Homoeopathy, Government of Kerala.
    • The event will also include the release of a documentary, a portal, and 8 books published by CCRH.

Recently, a comprehensive joint military exercise named ‘Ex KAVACH’ was conducted by the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) from February 23 to April 07, 2023.

The comprehensive joint military exercise ‘Ex KAVACH’ saw participation from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

  • Mandate: The objective of the Ex KAVACH joint military exercise was to refine the forces’ joint warfare abilities, SOPs and strengthen operational synergy and interoperability.
  • Participation: The exercise saw the participation of the ‘Shatrujeet Brigade’ of the Army, AFSOD, Navy’s Special Forces and ANC’s amphibious troops.
  • Exercise KAVACH 2023 Activities: They conducted a range of activities including amphibious landings, air-landed operations, heliborne operations, and the swift insertion of Special Forces onto a remote island of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The exercise was conducted across multiple domains.

Through ‘Exercise KAVACH,’ the Armed Forces demonstrated their readiness and capabilities to protect India’s maritime interests and ensure the safety of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Recently, the Union Home Minister launched the ‘Vibrant Villages Programme’ in Kibithoo, Arunachal Pradesh. Kibithoo is a border village in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Vibrant Villages Program

The Vibrant Villages scheme will provide funds for development of essential infrastructure and creation of livelihood opportunities in 19 Districts and 46 Border blocks 4 states and 1 UT along the northern land border of the country.

  • Mandate: Vibrant Villages Program will help in achieving inclusive growth and retaining the population in the border areas.
    • In the first phase 663 Villages will be taken up in the programme.
  • Scope: Vibrant Villages Program will be implemented in 19 Districts and 46 Border blocks 4 states and 1 UT along the northern land border of the country.
  • Funding: Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP) was approved with financial allocation of Rs. 4800 Crore.
    • Out of financial allocation of Rs. 4800 Crore 2500 crore rupees will be used for roads.
  • Significance: the Vibrant Villages scheme will result in Comprehensive development of villages of blocks on northern border thus improving the quality of life of people living in identified border villages.
    • This will help in encouraging people to stay in their native locations in border areas and reversing the outmigration from these villages adding to improved security of the border.
