• The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change is setting up a pavilion on the theme Mission LiFE during ‘Bharat Parv’ 2023.

• Bharat Parv: It is being organized by Ministry of Tourism, from 26th January to 31st  January, 2023 at Red Fort, New Delhi on the occasion of celebration of the 74th Republic Day .
• Mission LiFE Pavilion: The pavilion will remain open for the general public from 26th  January 2023 and from 27th  January to 31st  January 2023.
• Theme: Mission LiFE theme has been chosen to sensitise and educate the masses on LiFE actions which can promote sustainable living and help tackle climate change.
• Key Events: The LiFE actions enshrined in Mission LiFE are showcased through various interactive media platforms such as LED screen, Motion Sensor wall, Interactive wall, Live AR wall etc.
  • The pavilion on Mission LiFE encourages people to be Pro Plant.

What is the LiFE movement?

• About: The idea of LiFE promotes an environment-conscious lifestyle that focuses on ‘mindful and deliberate utilisation’ instead of ‘mindless and destructive consumption.
  • The LiFE Movement is a global initiative for ensuring sustainable lifestyle of human beings and protecting the planet.
  • LiFE Movement global initiative was proposed by the Prime Minister of India at COP26, he UN’s climate summit in Glasgow.
• Vision: The vision of LiFE is to live a lifestyle that is in tune with our planet and does not harm it.

• Exercise TROPEX 2023, Indian Navy’s major maritime exercise, is currently underway in the Indian Ocean Region.

• Exercise TROPEX 2023 is an operational level exercise conducted biennially among various military organizations of India.
• Participation: TROPEX 2023 Exercise witnesses participation not only by all Indian Navy units but also of Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Coast Guard assets.
• Duration/Time Period: TROPEX 23 is being conducted over a duration of three months from Jan – Mar 23.
• Significance: TROPEX exercise provides an opportunity to test the combat readiness of the combined Fleets of the Indian Navy to operate in a multi-threat environment.
  • The maritime TROPEX exercise also facilitates operational level interaction with the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and the Coast Guard, which will further strengthen interoperability and joint operations in a complex environment.

• Organizing Body: National Voters’ Day (NVD) 2023 is being organized in New Delhi by the Election Commission of India.
• NVD Theme: The National Voters’ Day (NVD) 2023 theme is ‘Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure’.
  • It is dedicated to voters which conveys individual’s feeling and aspiration towards participation in the electoral process through power of their vote.
• NVD Logo: The National Voters’ Day (NVD) 2023 logo is designed to showcase festivity and inclusivity of the electoral process.

• Venue: Film Festival Screenings will take place at two locations in Mumbai, 4 auditoriums at the Film Division Complex at Pedder Road and 1 NFDC Theater at Nehru Planetarium Building at Worli.
