eSewa Kendras have been introduced as part of an initiative to bridge the digital gap and offer e-filing services to lawyers and litigants. Initially implemented in one District Court and now expanded to cover all High Courts, these Kendras are strategically located at the entry points of court complexes.

• The primary objective is to provide convenient assistance to lawyers and litigants, including access to information, facilitation services, and e-filing support.
• India’s first e-Resource Center, named “Nyay Kaushal,” was inaugurated on 30th October 2020 in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
• This center is dedicated to facilitating the e-filing of cases in the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and District Courts nationwide. Its primary purpose is to assist lawyers and litigants in accessing online e-Court services, particularly benefiting those who may not have access to advanced technology.
• By providing services such as e-filing of cases from anywhere in the country, virtual hearings, scanning, and access to e-Court services, the center aims to save time, eliminate the need for physical exertion and long-distance travel, and reduce costs associated with legal proceedings.
