Recently, a comprehensive joint military exercise named ‘Ex KAVACH’ was conducted by the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) from February 23 to April 07, 2023.
Exercise KAVACH 2023
The comprehensive joint military exercise ‘Ex KAVACH’ saw participation from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
- Mandate: The objective of the Ex KAVACH joint military exercise was to refine the forces’ joint warfare abilities, and SOPs and strengthen operational synergy and interoperability.
- Conducting Body: Exercise ‘KAVACH’ was a joint military exercise conducted by the Andaman & Nicobar command, which is the only tri-services unit in India.
- Participation: The exercise saw the participation of the ‘Shatrujeet Brigade’ of the Army, AFSOD, the Navy’s Special Forces, and ANC’s amphibious troops.
- Exercise KAVACH 2023 Activities: They conducted a range of activities including amphibious landings, air-landed operations, heliborne operations, and the swift insertion of Special Forces onto a remote island of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
