Global Conference on Digital Health
Global Conference on Digital Health: It is an initiative directed towards achievement of Universal health coverage (UHC) in the world. Global Conference on Digital Health 2023 is being organized by India. Global Conference on Digital Health is also important for UPSC Prelims 2023 and UPSC Mains Exam (GS Paper 2- various initiatives of the government for promoting health and wellbeing of the people/citizens in India and World; International Relations and International Groupings)
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the WHO South-East Asia Regional office are jointly organizing a two-day Global Conference on Digital Health in New Delhi on March 20th and 21st, 2023.
The conference will be chaired by Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, and Chemicals & Fertilizers.
The conference will include a ministerial session involving brainstorming and panel discussions on the digital transformation challenges, opportunities, and critical success factors. The global conference on Digital Health will feature five sessions on various aspects of digital health, including-
The conference will address the challenges and opportunities of implementing connected digital health initiatives and interventions to build primary healthcare-oriented and resilient health systems.
The conference emphasized the importance of unlocking the potential of delivering and sharing digital health solutions in an ethical, safe, secure, reliable, equitable, and sustainable way. The discussions focused on investing, developing, and sharing digital technologies while following principles of transparency, accessibility, scalability, replicability, interoperability, privacy, security, and confidentiality.
