CGPSC released CGPSC Notification 2024-25 for the recruitment of the State Services examination on 26 November 2024 against 246 vacancies. CGPSC Exam Pattern

The CGPSC Prelims will have 2 compulsory papers of 2 hours each. The questions will be objective type multiple-choice questions. Answering wrong will result in deduction of 1/3rd marks. The two papers in the prelims exam are General Studies and Aptitude Test.

CGPSC Mains Exam Pattern

Question paper in the main examination will be of conventional nature i.e. short/medium/long answer type. There are seven papers in the CGPSC main examination of 200 marks each and interview of 100 marks. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd for every wrong answer. CGPSC Exam Selection Process

The CGPSC Exam has three stages:

  • Stage 1 – Preliminary Exam: Two compulsory papers, each has 2 hours, with negative marking (one-third).
  • Stage 2 – Mains Exam: Seven papers, each lasting 3 hours, totaling 1400 marks.
  • Stage 3 – Interview/Personality Test: After the mains exam, of 100 marks.
