Meghalaya PSC Mains Exam Syllabus

The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) conducts the Meghalaya Mains Exam, which is the second stage of the recruitment process for various posts in the state government. The Meghalaya Mains Exam consists of eight papers in total, including four compulsory papers and four optional papers.

Meghalaya PSC Prelims Exam Pattern

The Meghalaya PSC Prelims Exam consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Both papers are objective type and carry 200 marks each. The duration of each paper is two hours.

Meghalaya PSC Mains Exam Pattern

The Meghalaya PSC Mains Exam is a written examination and consists of six papers. The papers are conducted over a period of three days.

  • The Meghalaya PSC Mains Exam consists of seven papers, including one English paper worth 300 marks, which is just a practice test. The marks obtained in this paper will not be counted for ranking.
  • The marks obtained by the candidates in Papers II to VII only will be counted for merit ranking.
  • The mains exam carries 1750 marks in total, with each paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks.
  • Each paper will be of three hours in duration.
  • There will be no negative marking in the MPSC Meghalaya Mains exam.
