The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) released the MPPSC Notification 2025 on 1 January 2025 with all the details including the MPPSC Syllabus. The MPPSC Selection Process 2025 includes: Prelims, Mains, and an Interview. According to the notification, the MPPSC Prelims exam is scheduled for 16 February 2025. Stages of MPPSC Selection Process 2025

The MPPSC Selection Process 2025 has three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

• Prelims: The Knowledge of general knowledge and CSAT is tested through objective-type questions.
• Mains: Written skills of a candidates is tested in this Stage.
• Interview: After qualifying the Mains, candidates will be called for the MPPSC Interview, where their personality, communication skills is assessed

The final merit list will be based on the marks from both the written exam and the interview. The total marks will be the sum of both of the stages. If two candidates have the same total score, the candidate with higher marks in the written exam will be given preference. This ensures a fair and clear selection process.

MPPSC Selection Process 2025: Exam Pattern

The MPPSC Exam Pattern 2025 is given in the table below:

Selection Process for MPPSC Prelims:

Under the MPPSC Prelims exam, there will be two papers, namely:

1. General Studies and General Aptitude Test. Both will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
2. Both the papers consist of 200 marks each, and the time allotted is 120 minutes or 2 hours for each paper.
3. There will be no negative marking in the MPPSC (State Service Exam) Prelims exam for wrong answers
4. 20 times of the vacant posts will be called for the MPPSC Mains.

MPPSC Selection Process 2025 Mains Exam

The first three papers on General Studies in MPPSC Mains Exam 2025 consist of 300 marks each, the fourth General Studies paper consists of 200 marks. Additionally, the Hindi paper also consists of 200 marks, while the Hindi essay paper is allotted a maximum of 100 marks. All the papers, except the one on Hindi Essay, is allotted 180 minutes, or 3 hours to attempt. Candidates are given 120 minutes, or 2 hours to complete the Hindi Essay paper.

MPPSC Interview 2025

After clearing the MPPSC Mains, candidates are called for the MPPSC Interview, which is of 185 marks. The marks from both the Mains and Interview are combined to create the MPPSC Final Merit List 2025. Candidates who pass the interview will be assigned departments based on their ranking in the merit list.

General Tips for MPPSC Exam 2025

1. Revision
Revision is very crucial. Confidence is good but overconfidence is dangerous. After preparing all the concepts, revise them carefully once again. Revise weak topics twice before the exam.

• Revise whatever you study
• Make short notes so that they can be helpful in quick revision.
• Divide your strong, weak, and moderate sections and work on them accordingly.

2. Accuracy
Though there is no negative marking, you still need to make check your accuracy because accuracy boosts the scores.

• If do not know the answer then quit that question.
• Try to solve accurately.
• Full concentration is needed to make your attempts accurate.

3. Time Management
Time management is very crucial.  Do not waste your crucial time on one lengthy question.  If you know that question would take your time then it is advisable to leave that question and move to the next question. Try to attempt lengthy questions at the last.

• Full mocks are helpful.
• Manage your time.
• Skip those questions which are time-consuming and lengthy.
• Concentrate on every question.

4. Speed
Speed is very important to attempt the exam on time. Both speed and accuracy are crucial. So try to work on speed.

• Attempt more and more questions to enhance your speed.
• Practice daily.
• Try to work on mind calculations because it saves time.

6. Attempt Mock And Previous Year’s Papers
“Practice makes the man perfect”. Attempt mocks and solves previous year’s papers. To boost your speed, accuracy, and knowledge.

• It is helpful to diagnose your level of preparation.
• Check your mistakes and work on them to improve them.
