Maharashtra Public Service Commission released the MPSC Syllabus for the 2024 examination along with notification which includes different categories and topics to assess candidate abilities for joining civil service in Maharashtra state. MPSC Syllabus 2024
The MPSC Rajyaseva Syllabus 2024 and Exam Pattern for MPSC for both the Prelims and Main Exam are available to candidates in full. Prelims, Mains, and Interviews are the three stages of the selection process for the MPSC State Civil Exam 2024. Two objective-style papers make up the Maharashtra PSC preliminary exam.

New Updates to the MPSC Syllabus
The MPSC has revised the Mains Syllabus, now featuring a more descriptive exam pattern similar to UPSC. Key updates include:
- 9 Papers: The main exam will now consist of 9 papers instead of 6.
- Total Marks: The total marks have increased from 800 to 1,750.
- Language Papers: The marks for the two language papers will not count towards the final score; they are now qualifying.
- Compulsory Papers: There are 7 compulsory papers, including 1 essay paper, 4 general studies papers, and 2 papers from an optional subject (select from 26 subjects).
Changes in Exam Pattern:
- Negative Marking: The negative marking for wrong answers in objective papers has changed from 1/3 to 25% (or 1/4) of the total marks.
