India through its National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has sent relief material to Ukraine via Poland.

About: The National Disaster Management Act (NDMA), 2005 provides for the setting up of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for the purpose of specialist response to a disaster or threatening disaster.
Legal Status: National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is a statutory body set up under NDMA, 2005.
Governing Authority: The general superintendence, direction and control of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) shall vest in the NDMA.
Location of NDRF forces: The NDRF battalions are located at 16 different locations in the country based on the vulnerability profile of the country and to cut down the response time for their deployment at the disaster sites.
