National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA): The National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) is a digital platform developed by the Government of India to facilitate the digitization and automation of legislative processes in the country. National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) is also important for UPSC Prelims Exam and UPSC Mains Exam (GS Paper 2- Parliament and State legislatures—structure, functioning, conduct of business, powers & privileges and issues arising out of these).
On the second day of the two-day National Workshop, representatives from leading technology companies, including Microsoft, IBM, and Google Inc., delivered presentations to the delegates.
The recently concluded two-day National Workshop on NeVA saw the participation of 161 delegates representing all 31 States and Union Territories of India.
NeVA aims to transform the functioning of legislatures by providing a paperless environment and enabling efficient management of legislative proceedings.
It encompasses various modules and features such as e-Committee, e-Question, e-House, and e-Library, which streamline activities like drafting, submission, tracking, and retrieval of legislative documents. NeVA enhances transparency, accessibility, and productivity in the functioning of legislatures, contributing to a more efficient and modern legislative system in India.
