Punjab PCS Prelims Selection Process 2025

Punjab PCS Prelims Exam is the first stage of the Selection Process. The PPSC question paper will be in both English and Punjabi (Gurmukhi script), except for language proficiency questions. The marks from the Preliminary Exam are not considered for the final merit list.

Punjab PCS Mains Selection Process 2025

Punjab PCS Mains is the next stage of the Selection Process. Candidates clearing Prelims will take the Mains Exam. To qualify for the interview, candidates must score at least 45% in the Main Exam (40% for Scheduled Castes and Tribes), with at least 25% in each paper. The Commission may lower this percentage if not enough candidates meet the requirement. Candidates need at least 45% marks overall (40% for SC/ST) in the Main Exam and Interview to qualify unless the Commission lowers the percentage.

Candidates will be ranked based on total marks from the Main Exam and Interview. If two candidates have equal marks, the one with higher marks in the written exam will rank higher. If still tied, the candidate with higher marks in General Studies will rank higher. If they are still tied, older candidates will rank higher.

Punjab PCS Interview Process 2025

In the third stage of the PPSC selection process, Interviews will be conducted only for those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. No candidate will be eligible to appear in the interview unless he has secured 45% marks. The marks obtained in the Mains examination along with the marks obtained in the interview will be considered for the final merit list.
