UPPSC Prelims Exam 2024 Revised, Exam schedule for 22 Dec

The exam was first scheduled for October 26-27, then moved to December 7-8. Aspirants wanted the exam to be held in a single shift, leading to protests. Due to ongoing protests in Prayagraj, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to conduct the exam in one shift. The new date for the UPPSC exam is 22 December 2024.

UPPSC Prelims 2024: New Exam Date Announced

It is hereby informed that instead of the Combined State / Subordinate Services (M.S.) Examination-2024 will now be held on one day i.e. 22.12.2024 in two sessions (1st session 9:30 AM to 11:30 PM and 2nd session 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM).

UPPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2024

To pass the Uttar Pradesh PSC exam, candidates should understand the exam pattern and syllabus. Check the table below for the UP PSC Exam Pattern 2024.

  • The exam consists of two papers: General Studies Paper I and Paper II.
  • Each paper is of 200 marks and lasts for 2 hours.
  • Both papers are held offline and have multiple-choice questions.
  • Paper 1 will have around 100 to 150 questions, while Paper 2 is a qualifying exam, requiring candidates to score at least 33% to pass.
  • The final merit of candidates will be based on their performance in Paper 1.

UPPSC 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The official UPPSC 2024 notification mentions the eligibility requirements. Candidates should check the criteria on the official website before applying. The requirements include nationality, educational qualifications, and age limits.

UPPSC Age Limit 2024

Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years old as of July 1, 2024. This means applicants must be born between July 2, 1984, and July 1, 2003. Age relaxation is available for candidates in reserved categories.

  • Statistical Officer: Postgraduate in Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Statistics, or Agricultural Statistics
  • Assistant Labour Commissioner: Postgraduate in Economics, Sociology, Commerce, Law, Labour Relations, Labour Welfare, Labour Law, Social Work, or Personnel Management
  • Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade II):
  1. Degree from a recognized university or foreign degree in Science/Physics/Mechanical Engineering,
  2. Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script
  • Management Officer/Manager (Estate Department):

UPPSC Upper Subordinate Services Selection Process

The UPPSC PCS recruitment consists of the following stages:
