Candidates aspiring for the UPPSC PCS exam should be aware of the UPPCS eligibility criteria before starting the UPPCS online application process in 2024. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has specified the eligibility criteria for the UPPSC PCS exam in terms of applicant age limit, attempt limit, qualification eligibility, experience including educational qualification, age criteria, nationality and physical fitness, etc. Any candidate who does not meet the eligibility criteria cannot appear for the exam. The age limit criteria for a candidate applying for the UPPCS exam is between 21 and 40 years. The UPPSC selection process 2024 includes three stages: prelims, mains and interview. As per UPPSC, for most of the posts in the UPPCS 2024 exam, a graduation degree in any subject from any recognized university is sufficient without any specific percentage requirement. UP PCS Eligibility Criteria 2024
The candidate must fulfil all the educational requirements listed in the official notification, else they will not be allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates applying for the exam must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a state or federally recognized university. Candidates in the final semester or awaiting final results can also apply for the exam. However, they must submit their final semester grade report during the submission of the detailed application form (DAF). Apart from the prerequisites listed above, there are additional criteria for some posts.
UPPSC Age Limit 2024
Generally, Candidates appearing in the UPPSC PCS 2024 exam should have the following criteria-
- Minimum Age: 21st Years Old
- Maximum Age: 40th Years Old
UPPSC Age Relaxation 2024
The upper age limit shall be greater by fifteen years for physically handicapped persons of U.P. Upper age limit shall also be greater by 3 years + Period of service rendered in the army for The Emergency Commissioned Officers / Short Service Commissioned Offices / Ex-Army personnel of U.P
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
- Upper age limit shall be greater by five years for candidates belonging to-
- Scheduled Castes (SC) of U.P.,
- Scheduled Tribes (SC) of U.P.,
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) of U.P.,
- Skilled players of U.P. of Classified Games,
- State Govt. Employees of U.P. including Teachers / Staff of the Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P. and Teachers / Staff of the Government Aided Madhyamik Vidyalayas of U.P

The candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any recognized University unto the last date for receipt of application.
